Applique Floral Hummingbird Quilt

I bought this kit months ago and have been meaning to
finish it for what seems like forever. Well I finally
finished it last night. It turned out just beautiful.
Here are some pics. I will be doing a tutorial on raw
edge applique next week! Have a look at these pics
and tell me what you think.
Let me first mention that this was my first attempt at McTavishing, you can see it in the background quilting on the bottom of the quilt. I took a few days off after quilting the bottom half and lost my flow a little. I didn't even notice but I started quilting feathers. This is so funny because I had just finished reading a book on feathering that day, it must have influenced my quilting. Anyways it still looks good so I left it. This is a present for my mother in law who comes home in two weeks from a long winter in Arizona, so the timing is perfect..
